Not quite For Greater Glory: Eva Longoria goes hell for leather in a laser cut dress... but is swamped by its baggy fit

Hell for leather: Eva Longoria fell on hard fashion times this evening for the premiere of her new film For Greater Glory as she slipped into this ill-fitting laser cut leather dress

She slips into an elegant Twenties-style wardrobe for her new film, For Greater Glory.
But Eva Longoria went for a more futuristic look tonight for the red-carpet premiere of the period drama.
However, while the 37-year-old attempted to go sexy in a laser-cut leather dress, the ensemble somewhat didn't flatter her figure.
The cut-out patterned dress, which featured a drop waist and A-list skirt swamped the actress's fabulous figure.
Eva was however boosted by a pair of towering patent leather stilettos.
The stunning star, who recently returned from France where she attended the Cannes Film Festival, wore her famous lush brunette locks bundled up in a low-key bun and went for her fail safe combination of a smokey eye and pink lip for her make-up.

Eva was joined by her co-star Andy Garcia at the event, who also went outside of the box with his own attire.
The 56-year-old opted for a summery beige pinstripe suit, which he paired with a lemon shirt and a gold and cream patterned tie.
He accessorised with a handkerchief and some brown dress shoes.

Two of the other male leads, Eduardo Verástegui and Alejandro Nones, meanwhile went for more traditional black suits.
Eva is starring alongside heavyweights Garcia and Peter O'Toole in the period drama.
Garcia is the main star of the film, which tells the true story of the Cristero War in 1920s Mexico, which was fought over the persecution of Catholics in the strict enforcement of the anti-clerical provisions of the Mexican Constitution of 1917.

Garcia plays General Enrique Gorostieta, a retired military officer who helps organise rebels into a well trained force capable of winning battles against the federal army.
Eva plays his devoted wife Tulita, though her story is set to end in tears as the real life general was killed just 19 days before a diplomatic resolution of hostilities.
A federal officer who infiltrated his inner circle as part of a government intelligence operation alerted the army to his whereabouts and he was killed in a firefight.
The film is set to be released June 1st in the U.S.

Flashbulb frenzy: Eva was certainly the centre of attention at the event
